AMS employs a professional staff of full-time collectors and customer service representatives whose experience and motivational skills ensure that your placements achieve maximum cash conversion. AMS is a bonded agency, with all of its employees and collectors covered under the corporate bond.

AMS maintains very strict guidelines for selecting, hiring and training employees. Each candidate must possess a minimum of five year's collection or customer service experience, preferably within the commercial collection arena. Candidates must also take The Humetrics III employment survey, which identifies strengths and weaknesses in potential applicants, pass a thorough background check and be unanimously endorsed via a comprehensive interview with the president, vice president and collection manager at AMS.

All staff members and collectors attend customer service training at the onset of their employment with AMS. Initial training includes videotapes presenting various customer service situations, paired with practice sessions and printed material questionnaires. The collection manager conducts weekly collection meetings, at which time collectors are advised of any new or pending laws, procedures and any other pertinent information that may affect the way they handle files in their possession. Additionally, since we live in an ever changing, fast-paced world of e-mail, wireless communication and non-verbal contact, collectors are trained and skilled in creative writing. Such training ensures increased effectiveness when utilizing the Internet and other non-verbal means of communication.
